LYNN PARK CHARVERIAT is a Korean-American artist, born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, was raised in the Dallas, Texas and studied art and fashion at Otis Parsons School of Art and Design & film in Los Angeles, California before moving to New York City.
Artworks in collage assemblage, neon, photography, porcelain sculptures and mixed media, fabric paintings, silk screen works or solar plate works. She works with neon in a spiritual sense that the words and images are filled with light and modern forms of communication like using emoji icons or images which can be turned on and off with a switch.
Her paintings have been inspired by culture, fashion, fairytales, mythology or art experiences using recycled fabrics, superstitions, sayings and abstractions in nature. She uses modern technology to convey some of her artworks into augmented reality. There is also a technological process in some art works which would either be hand drawn, sent as a photograph or drawn on the computer and given to outsourced production to assist her vision to become reality.
She currently lives in Sag Harbor, New York with her two boys and French husband, Christopher CHARVERIAT, who is also an artist. Lynn & Christopher work together on some paintings and art works.
